Allison Stinger, Board President, became a member of the Barnstone Art for Kids Board in April 2013. She brings a wealth of non-profit knowledge from prior work experience at The Malvern School, Freedom Valley YMCA and the Independence Mission Schools in Philadelphia, PA. Allison has an MS in Non-profit Management from Eastern University and is currently the Director of Development at Montgomery School.
Carrie Harcus, Vice President, joined the Barnstone Art for Kids Board in May of 2014 having been first introduced to Barnstone as a business consultant from the Arts & Business Council in Philadelphia, PA. Carrie broad business background from senior roles at Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Co, Campbell Soup and currently SCA has strengthened and broadened the organizational structure at Barnstone Art for Kids.
Eric Daugherty, Treasurer, joined the Barnstone Art for Kids Board in January 2017. Eric is a local executive with vast experience in finance, strategy, leadership and business process. He assures the confident, fiscally responsible growth of Barnstone Art for Kids while realizing its mission.
Erin Ring, Secretary, joined the Barnstone Art for Kids Board in August 2013. Erin graduated with a BFA from West Chester University in 2006 and has been instrumental in creating the Power of Art curriculum. In addition to serving on the board, Erin coordinates mentor recruitment and training. She has mentored at Barnstone since the very first pilot program in 2011.
Sean Halloran As a Therapist, Sean brings a wealth of crisis and treatment knowledge to the Board at Barnstone Art for Kids. He is a seasoned Clinical Administrator serving as the Division Director of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center in Montgomery County. As both a supporter and volunteer mentor at Barnstone Art for Kids, Sean is instrumental in monitoring the program and evaluation tools for the Power of Art.
Connie Dougher Connie love for the arts brought her to Barnstone Art for Kids. She also brings years of experience including legal, human resources, risk and communications accountability. She holds a BA in broadcast journalism from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Along with her academic accomplishments, Connie was named to Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business, awarded by the Department of Community & Economic Development and the Governor’s Office, and completed Business on Board Leadership training with the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia. A new board member, Connie joined the board in September 2018.
Lynn Detwiler founded Barnstone Art for Kids in 2011 as the cumulative expression of her lifelong passion for art and group facilitating work with grieving children. As the current Executive Director of Barnstone Art for Kids, she participates on the Board as a Non-Voting Member. Lynn participates on the Advisory Council of the newly formed Chester County ACEs Coalition and the Greater Phoenixville ACE Committee. National Conference attendance, local training participation, ongoing research study, and direct interaction in the Barnstone program allows maximum adaptability to the newest tools and methods.
